The Lee County Industrial Development Association (LCIDA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization, originally founded in November 1960 as the Dixon Development Association by local business leaders who wanted to grow and develop an industrial park next to Charles R. Walgreen Field--Dixon's municipal airport--on the southeast side of town.
The Lee County Industrial Development Association is governed by a Board of Directors that includes mayors and village presidents from Lee County municipalities, Lee County Board elected leaders, and representatives of other community businesses and related organizations.
Tom Demmer began serving as President of LCIDA in 2023, following the retirement of Kevin Marx who led the organization since 2016. Tom comes to LCIDA following five terms in the Illinois House of Representatives and more than ten years of experience in strategic planning and community relations at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
